Allison McClaughry
Halito (hello)! My name is Allison McClaughry, I am a citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. I am a second year student double majoring in Environmental Studies and Geography with a minor in American Indian Studies. I was motivated to apply for this scholarship because I am incredibly passionate about giving back to my community and wants to leave the earth a better place than I found it through a career in environmental law.
Goals
I hope to pursue a career in environmental law specifically focusing on environmental justice issues within Native nations.
Tips
I think that it is important to be true to yourself, highlight who you are inside and what drives you most. I also think it is important to put yourself out there even if you think you may not get something you should always try!
